DAY 01- 02: AUSTRALIA BANGKOK
Today depart Australia to Bangkok. Upon your arrival, meet your guide and transfer to your hotel. Next day visit Wat Pho and the Grand Palace, board a long tail boat for a cruise along Chao Phraya River to the Pak Klong Talaat Flower Market and take a walk through Chinatown. (B/L/D on day 2)
DAY 03-04: BANGKOK RIVER KWAI KANCHANABURI (B/L/D)
Today visit Damnoen Saduak Floating Market and the Railway Track Market. Then visit Wang Po and take a train ride on the Death Railway through the Kwai Noi Gorge to Kanchanaburi. Take a visit to the Bridge over River Kwai, the Allies Cemetery and War Museum. Next day visit the Hellfire Pass, a vast embankment of stone cut out during World War II by allied Prisoners of War for the Burma railway. Relax at the Saiyoke Noi Waterfall.
DAY 05: KANCHANABURI AYUTHAYA SUKHOTHAI (B/L/D)
Travel east and discover the ruins of Ayuthaya, once the centre of a far-reaching empire. Depart for Sukhothai and Lopburi (if time permits) to see its monkey inhabitants and atmospheric Khmer temple ruins. Continue to Phitsanulok where you will visit a folk museum which houses a fascinating collection of rural exhibits.
DAY 06: SUKHOTHAI (B/L/D)
After lunch, join-in with a ceramic painting and cotton weaving class, both unique to the region. Enjoy dinner with a sunset dinner within the World Heritage site of Sukhothai surrounded by the ancient ruins.
DAY 07: SUKHOTHAI LAMPANG (B/L/D)
Today enjoy a motorised tram ride around Sukhothai Ruins. Later on, travel to Lampang where you ride on a horse-drawn cart around the Old Town. Visit Phra That Lampang Luang, Wat Phra Kaew Don Tao and local market.
DAY 08: LAMPANG CHIANG RAI (B/L/D)
This morning depart for the Golden Triangle, the point where Thailand, Laos and Myanmars borders meet. Afternoon drive to Chiang Rai.
DAY 09: CHIANG RAI (B/L/D)
Travel by road to Mae Salong Mountain where you will ride in a truck to the tribal village of Yao. Stop at a tea plantation and walk through the village of the Karen Tribe (Long Necks).
DAY 10: CHIANG RAI CHIANG MAI (B/L/D)
Today travel by road to Chiang Mai. Visit the city of Wang Kum Kam, the temples of Wat Chedi Luang and Wat Phra Singh, and a handicraft village.
DAY 11: CHIANG MAI (B/L/D)
Visit the Chiang Dao Elephant Camp where you will experience an elephant ride and gentle bamboo river rafting. After dinner, you will visit the colourful night market.
DAY 12: CHIANG MAI (B/L/D)
Enjoy a cooking class this morning where you will learn the secrets of traditional Thai cuisine. After lunch, visit Baan Kingkaew Orphanage, followed by Wat Doi Suthep in time for sunset. This evening you will see a performance of ancient dances and songs from northern Thailand.
DAY 13: CHIANG MAI DEPARTURE (B)
This morning you will be transferred to Chiang Mai airport to board your flight to Bangkok and connect your overnight flight to Australia.
DAY 14: AUSTRALIA ARRIVAL
Arrive home in the morning with exciting memories.
